Scented Pearled Candle FAQs
What is a scented pearled candle?
A scented pearled candle uses loose fragranced wax pearls instead of a solid block of scented wax fixed inside a jar. Pour the pearls into a suitable heat-safe vessel, add a prepared wick and light like a candle.
Do I need to add fragrance to Emilie Scented Refills?
No. Emilie Scented Refills are already prepared in your chosen fragrance. There is no need to measure fragrance, melt wax or mix scent into the pearls at home.
How strong is the fragrance?
Fragrance is released as the wax surrounding the burning wick warms and melts. Scent experience varies with room size, airflow, burn time and the number of wicks used. One wick generally creates a softer scent experience, while additional correctly spaced wicks create a larger melt area and may make the fragrance more noticeable.
Can I change to a different scent later?
Yes. Once the candle has completely cooled, you can remove the used wax around the wick and change to another Emilie fragrance. For a clearer fragrance profile, remove the previous scented pearls before filling the vessel with a different scent rather than mixing several fragrances together.
What comes with a Scented Refill?
Each refill contains 1kg of ready-scented white pearled wax and 50 prepared cotton wicks.
Can I use scented wax pearls in another container?
Yes, provided the container is stable, suitable for candle use and follows Emilie's container-size and wick-spacing guidance. Always check the Candle Safety guidance before using a different vessel.
