THE VESSEL STAYS
A candle vessel worth keeping.
Traditional candles often make the container feel temporary.
When the wax is finished, another jar takes its place.
Our candle vessels are designed differently.
Each one is made as an object for the home first — with considered proportions, tactile surfaces and a form that can stay long after one candle moment has ended.
Fill it with pearled wax. Add a wick. Enjoy the candle.
Then refresh the wax, change the colour or scent and use the same vessel again.
Keep the vessel. Change the candle.
FIND YOUR SHAPE
Choose the vessel that fits your space.
From low, wide candle bowls to more sculptural forms, each design brings a different presence to the room.
Low & Wide
Generous open forms that give pearled wax room to become part of the design and create a calm, architectural centrepiece.

Sculptural
More expressive forms designed to stand confidently in the room, whether the candle is lit or resting between moments.

Fill. Wick. Light. Refresh.
The vessel is designed to stay while the candle inside it can keep changing.
-
Add your wax pearls
Pour Emilie pearled wax into the vessel, leaving the recommended space and following the guidance for your chosen setup.
-
Position your wick
Add a prepared cotton wick securely in the pearls, following the recommended wick spacing for the width of your vessel.
-
Enjoy the candle
Light the wick and let a small local melt pool form around the flame while the rest of the loose pearls remain part of the vessel.
-
Create it differently next time
Once everything has fully cooled, refresh the candle with a new wick, more pearls, another scent or a different colour.
THE EMILIE FINISH
Made to feel closer to stone than a conventional candle jar.
Each vessel is hand-cast, then carefully etched to reveal the fine decorative aggregate beneath the original smooth surface.
That additional finishing stage gives every piece its tactile, matte stone-like character.
Look closely and the surface becomes more detailed. In direct light, tiny points within the exposed aggregate can catch the light and give the vessel a subtle mineral shimmer.
Small variations in texture and aggregate visibility are part of the character of a piece finished individually by hand.
Quiet from across the room. More interesting up close.
MORE THAN THE CONTAINER
The candle can change without replacing the piece you chose for your home.
A vessel should not become unnecessary because one candle has finished.
That is why our candle bowls are designed around a refillable format.
The form stays familiar. What sits inside it can change.
White pearls for a quiet room. Sienna when you want warmth. Onyx for contrast. A favourite scent one month and something completely different the next.
One vessel. Many candle moments.

Candle Vessel FAQs
What is a candle vessel?
A candle vessel is the container that holds the wax and wick during candle use. Emilie vessels are designed specifically to work with loose pearled wax rather than being permanently filled with a solid block of candle wax.
Can Emilie candle vessels be refilled?
Yes. They are designed around the Emilie refillable candle system. Once your candle has completely cooled, the setup can be refreshed with new prepared wicks and additional or different pearled wax.
Can I change the wax colour or fragrance?
Yes. The loose wax format lets you change between compatible Emilie refills rather than permanently committing the vessel to one colour or fragrance.
What are Emilie candle vessels made from?
They are hand-cast from a durable mineral-based composite and carefully etched after curing to create the tactile stone-like surface characteristic of Emilie Home.
Why does the surface vary slightly?
The casting, etching and finishing process can create subtle differences in texture and aggregate visibility from one piece to another. These small variations are a natural result of the way each vessel is individually finished.
Which colours are available?
The core Emilie Home palette is Alabaster, Cashmere, Sienna and Onyx. Individual vessel designs may not always be available in every colour, and limited-edition finishes may appear from time to time.
Can I use multiple wicks in an Emilie vessel?
Some wider vessels can accommodate more than one wick when correctly positioned and spaced. Follow the guidance provided for the specific vessel and our candle safety recommendations before using a multi-wick setup.
