Each Emilie Home tray and dish begins with a smooth cast surface.
After curing, we carefully etch the piece to reveal the fine decorative aggregate held within the material.
That extra finishing stage creates the tactile, matte, stone-like surface that defines the collection.
The effect changes with the light. From a distance it feels quiet and natural. Up close, subtle variations and tiny points within the exposed aggregate give the surface more depth and character.

What can I use Emilie Home trays and dishes for?
They are designed as versatile decorative and catch-all pieces for small everyday objects such as jewellery, watches, keys and accessories. Suggested uses can vary depending on the size and design of the individual piece.
What are Emilie Home trays and dishes made from?
Each piece is hand-cast from a durable mineral-based composite and individually finished to create the tactile stone-like surface characteristic of Emilie Home.
Why does the surface look textured?
After curing, the surface is carefully etched to reveal fine decorative aggregate within the material. This creates the matte, tactile finish and subtle natural variation visible across each piece.
Will every piece look exactly the same?
No two hand-finished pieces will be perfectly identical. Small variations in texture, aggregate visibility and surface character can occur as part of the casting and finishing process.
Which colours are available?
Our core Emilie Home colours are Alabaster, Cashmere, Sienna and Onyx. Not every design will necessarily be available in every colour, and limited-edition finishes may occasionally be introduced.
Are Emilie Home dishes food-safe?
Only use a product for food if its individual product page specifically states that it is suitable for food contact. Our trays and dishes should otherwise be treated as decorative homeware.
Can I use a tray or dish as a candle vessel?
